GPB Sports is looking for Georgia high school football players who are having a great season and career but who may need a little help getting noticed by recruiters. Here are our nominees for the week of November 6, 2023.

Keshawn Jordan, Thomasville, DE, SR

Keshawn Jordan is a 6'1 220 LBS Senior Defensive End at Thomasville High School. He has 126 total tackles in 23 Games (82 solo), one pick six, 17 tackles for loss, 15 sacks. He was selected for First-Team All-Region 2x and received All-State honorable mention. Jordan holds a 3.5 GPA and enjoys fishing as a hobby.

Jacorey Jackson, Eastside, DE/G, SR

The 6'1 285 LBS Senior Defensive End and Guard at Eastside started his passion for the game at the age of six. The definition of a student-athlete, Jackson carries a 3.0 GPA, has been named most valuable lineman, won homecoming king, and received First-Team All-Region accolades.  Described as a very humble kid who is just looking for his chance to do what he loves to play football at the next level.

In his free time, Jackson volunteers to train younger kids at football camps on the weekends, runs track and wrestles. He enjoys drawing, playing Madden, praying, and building things.

Dylon Henderson, Spalding, DB, JR

Dylon Henderson is a 5'11 175 LBS Junior Defensive Back at Spalding High School. With a 4.54 laser 40, he has three interceptions, one of which he got during the Jaguars' region win against Perry streamed on GPB.org. Henderson's big plays don't stop there, he has 30 tackles, six pass break ups and one forced fumble. He holds a 3.1 GPA and currently has one offer.

Su'Reese Peterson, Jonesboro, DL, SR

Sureese Peterson is a 6'1 245 LBS Senior Defensive Lineman at Jonesboro High School. The hardworking athlete is in the top five for strongest players on the team according to his coach.  His lineman coach says he has great explosion - very disruptive at the point of attack and commands a double team with a great motor.

Eric Searcy, Hapeville Charter, RB/LB, SR

Eric Searcy is a 5'10 210 LBS senior running back and linebacker for the Hornets that has 70+ tackles and over 200 rushing yards. The three-year starter is described as a hard-nose linebacker, and the statement is proven to be true as Searcy notched over 25 tackles in one game. Off the field, he is an honor roll student with a 3.5 GPA. When he's not playing football, he enjoys working out.

Wil Turner, Gainesville, C/T, JR

Will Turner is a 6'3 255 starting Center and Tackle at Gainesville High School. The Red Elephants clinched their second straight region championship and is currently ranked #1 in Class 6A according to our GPB Sports poll. Last Summer, Turner was awarded Offensive MVP at the Blue Grey All-American Super Regional Combine in Canton, OH. He says the award meant a lot to him, as offensive linemen don't typically win offensive MVPs at camps and combines.  He says he's attended several college visits this fall, so he hopes to add a scholarship offer to his list soon.

In addition to football, where he lettered as a freshman and sophomore, he also lettered in Track & Field, as a thrower (shot put and discus). He plans to compete again this spring and hopes to medal. Outside of sports, he plays saxophone in the school's band. Due to football, but he does not march but does participate in concert band.  As a hobby, Turner has developed a cologne collection that is ever growing and enjoys gaming, when time allows.

Mason Sullens, Lumpkin County, RB/ DE, SR

Mason Sullens is a 6'1 215 LBS Senior Running Back and Defensive End at Lumpkin County High School. The accomplished athlete has received All-Region 7-3A awards for the 2022 & 2023 seasons, Honorable mention All-State, Lumpkin County Athlete of the Week and helped the Indians accomplish their first region championship in program history. Sullens is currently the fourth ranked running back in the state, averaging 7.17 yards per carry. Known as a strong willed hard-nosed running back that will stick his nose in it and fight for every single yard. His hard work in the weight room and training pays off on the field, he has a bench of 275, squat of 540, power clean of 270 and runs a 4.47 40-yard dash that allows him to make a seemingly short play stretch into a good gain for the Indians offense even after contact. Sullens leads Division 3A in total touchdowns and is currently fourth in the state with 156 total points, and 26 touchdowns. He averages 17.3 points a game. His season stats include: 2,767 total yards, 1,692 rushing yards and 1,853 total yards.

Described as a very humble athlete that is quick to praise Lumpkin’s tough offensive line for his success, but when you see him on the field, you truly understand what makes him special. Off the field he maintains a 3.0 GPA and is big on volunteering in his community, often working with little league football and youth football summer camps.

Jaden George, Druid Hills, RB, SR 

From never playing football to becoming the starting Running Back at Druid Hills, Jayden George is a 5’ 8 190 LBS Senior RB who is showing what can be achieved with dedication and hard work. Emerging as a starting RB late last season, George has finished the season with 12 touchdowns, 1,007 yards, and averaged seven yards per carry. In his first game this season he scored three touchdowns and carried the ball for 119 yards. In the Red Devils game two weeks ago, he had two touchdowns and 242 yards. During his sophomore season he played multiple positions including, RB,LB, and kicker. In Dekalb County, George is ranked as a Running Back this season for his yardage and carries.

For three seasons, George has been a dual-sport athlete playing for the Red Devils soccer team as a defender. He maintains a 3.8 GPA, is a part of the Druid Hills' IB program and is also a member of the National Honor Society. The scholar-athlete also volunteers in his community with organizations like Hands on Atlanta, officiating young kids at local soccer clubs, a second-year participant in the earth day clean up challenge, yearly volunteer of the Martin Luther King Day, and was nominated by his soccer coach as a Positive Athlete in Georgia.

George currently has one offer but is still open and looking for more! He plans to pursue a degree in Zoology or Wildlife Biology in college.
