Make That Kid An Offer Nominees: Week of September 11
GPB Sports is looking for Georgia high school football players who are having a great season and career but who may need a little help getting noticed by recruiters. If you, or someone you know, doesn’t have an offer or may just be looking for a bigger offer, tell us your story. Send the details on what you've done over your career, along with your video highlights to GPBSports@gpb.org. If you’re selected we may feature you on our Football Fridays in Georgia Halftime Show Fridays at 7:30 pm on GPB.
Here is a look at this week's nominees:
Elijah Ling, Jackson County, WR/CB, SR

He has returned kickoffs for 38 yards on Special Teams and blocked the game-winning field goal, sending the game into a double-overtime victory for the Panthers. Ling has received several football awards and accomplishments including Athletic Director Award, Positive Athlete Nomination, Dream All-American Bowl, "Top Performer"/"Best Results" at summer camps and broke his school track record. Academically, Ling has a 3.5 GPA. He currently has three athletic and two academic offers but is still searching for a D1 offer closer to home to stay near his mother who is terminally ill. His best offer is from Wingate, a D2 school. An interesting fact about Ling: his nickname is White Lightning, due to his fast speed on the track, and artist, Jon C., released a song in his honor, called “White Lightning."
Reese Patterson, Druid Hills, ATH, SR
Reese Patterson is a 5'11 171 LBS Senior Athlete at Druid Hills High School. Patterson says he is a strong leader on his team and does his best to lead by example through focus and determination. He prides himself on his aggressive hitting style and intensity. Patterson currently has no offers.
Favian Williford, Apalachee, RB/CB, JR
Favian "Favo" Williford is a 5'8 160 LBS Junior Running Back and Cornerback at Apalachee High School. Williford is known for his blazing speed on the football field as well on the track. In his last game, he scored two touchdowns against Loganville, one was 65 yards and the other 19 yards. After four games, he has an estimated total of 688 yards and three touchdowns. Just this week, Online Athens nominated him as the Week 4 Player of the Week. In week 1, he was Georgia Farm Bureau's Player of the Week. Not only does Williford give 1000% in sports, but he also works hard in the classroom. He holds a 3.2 GPA and is currently enrolled in Dual Enrollment at Lanier Technical College, with a Pathway of Animal Science. Wiliford's goal is to become a veterinarian and to play college football.

To stay in shape during the off-season, Reeves wrestles, where he has served as team captain for two years and throws the disk/shot put. The scholar-athlete has a 3.9 GPA, winning the highest GPA for his class every year of high school, and is in the top 10. In his free time, he likes to hang out with his family and friends, go to concerts, and compete in anyway - tennis, cards, corn hole, literally anything! Reeves volunteers a lot with his church and leads a group of 4th grade boys.
