Make That Kid An Offer

GPB Sports is looking for Georgia high school football players who are having a great season and career but who may need a little help getting noticed by recruiters. If you, or someone you know, doesn’t have an offer or may just be looking for a bigger offer, tell us your story. Send the details on what you've done over your career, along with your video highlights to GPBSports@gpb.org. Stats and accomplishments must be verifiable. If you’re selected we may feature you on our Recruiting 2022 Show Fridays at 7 pm on GPB.

Here are our nominees for the week of October 31, 2022:

 

DeShun Coleman, Callaway, ATH/QB, JR

Coleman is a 5’10 163 LBS junior athlete and quarterback at Callaway High School. During his sophomore year he was awarded the 2021 Region 5 Class 2A player of year with 2,228 yards and 18 touchdowns. Coleman's pass stats are: 66/116, with a 57% rate, 790 yds, eight touchdown and four interceptions. His rushing stats are: 40 carries, 313 yards and three touchdowns. For the 2021 season, Coleman had a total of 2,228 passing yards and 18 touchdowns - he was awarded All-Region 5 Class 2A. Outside of football, he is also the starting point guard on the basketball team. He currently has one offer from Warren University. Coleman has a 3.1 GPA.

Jackson Hancock, Sequoyah, DB/RB, JR

Hancock is a 6’1 185 LBS junior who plays defensive back, running back and special teams at Sequoyah High School.

He has been a part of the Chiefs’ varsity starting lineup since his freshman year and loves every minute of it. According to MaxPreps, he has a career total of 661 rushing yards, 132 carriers and 11 touchdowns. Hancock has attended camps and showcases and has had one visit to KSU.

Taizon Perkins, North Cobb, OLB/SS, SR

Perkins is a 6’0 195 LBS senior offensive linebacker and small safety at North Cobb High School. He is a transfer form Kell High School, where he made the All-County defense team with honorable mentions during his sophomore and junior years. Perkins started both seasons averaging over 40 tackles at the outside linebacker position with seven QB sacks  and two TD’s. During his current season, he has 32 tackles and one QB sack.

In the classroom, he has a 3.9 GPA and scored a 21 on the ACT. He currently has offers from Stetson University and Reindhart, with interest from Kennesaw State, Furman, and Navy. Perkins is also a member of the National Honors Society - his hobbies include fishing & gaming.

Keith Fraley Jr., Washington County, OL/DL, SR

Fraley Jr. is a 6’0 250 LBS senior outside linebacker and defensive lineman at Washington County High School. He has 12 solo tackles, 25 total tackles and averages 4.5 tackles per game while also playing offensive guard, tackle and center. Off the field, he has a 3.8 GPA, and participates in FBLA and the BETA club.

Kumasi Washington, Hancock Central, DE/OLB, SR

Washington is a 6’3 220 LBS senior defensive end and outside linebacker at Hancock Central High School. According to MaxPreps, he has a 101 solo tackles, 140 total tackles, averages 4.4 tackles per game and 13 sacks. Washington has been awarded All-State and All-Region. His hobbies include exercising, participating in sports and cleaning. He maintains a 3.6 GPA.

KJ Smith, Roswell, QB, JR

Smith is a 5’11 180 LBS junior quarterback at Roswell High School. His stats in nine games - passing: 85/130 with 1,573 yards, 22 touchdowns and five interceptions ; rushing: 41 carries, 286 yards and three touchdowns. The Hornets are 8-1 overall and 5-0 in region play. Smith currently has no offers.

In the classroom, he has a 3.4 GPA while taking honors classes.  Smith spends his free time practicing his photography and film skills on his photography Instagram: @Kjvisuals_.

Connor Noone, Cambridge, K, SR

Noone is a 6’3 185 LBS senior kicker at Cambridge High School. His football accomplishments include: Kohl’s 4.5 star kicker nationally and MaxPreps Special Teams player of the Game against Creekview. Noone’s career statistics include 16 touchbacks, 5/7 field goals - his longest at 44 yards and 40/42 PAT’s.

Morgan Jones, Washington County, QB/ATH, SR

Jones is a 6’0 175 LBS senior dual-threat quarterback and athlete at Washington County High School. He currently has 1,381 passing yards, 147 rushing yards, three touchdowns on the ground and nine in the air. Jones plays four sports - football, basketball, baseball, and track. He currently has a 3.6 GPA and is a honor student. His hobbies include working out, bettering his football skills and helping out in the in community.
