Make That Kid An Offer

GPB Sports is looking for Georgia high school football players who are having a great season and career but who may need a little help getting noticed by recruiters. If you, or someone you know, doesn’t have an offer or may just be looking for a bigger offer, tell us your story. Send the details on what you've done over your career, along with your video highlights to GPBSports@gpb.org. Stats and accomplishments must be verifiable. If you’re selected we may feature you on our Recruiting 2022 Show Fridays at 7 pm on GPB.

Here are our nominees for the week of October 3, 2022:

 

Will Parton, Milton, ILB, SR

Parton is a 6’0 220 LBS senior inside linebacker at Milton High School. His stats through first four games include: 40 tackles, four sacks, one interception, one touchdown, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, one blocked punt, and one blocked field goal. Parton was a chosen as the 2022 Freedom bowl MVP,  2022 Week 5 top 10 performances in Georgia and the Young Men’s Service league of Milton. He maintains a 3.8 GPA.

Kenai Grier, Eastside, RB/ OLB, SR

Grier is a 5’11 185 LBS senior running back and outside linebacker at Eastside High School. He has been a starting running back since his freshman year and also serves as a captain this year. Grier has rushed for 2,228 career yards with approximately 811 rushing yards this season and averaging 9.2 yds a carry. He has had a 75+ yds rushing touchdown every game this season except one and made the longest run in GA list three times this season. Grier has 11 touchdowns this season and a career total of 66 TDs. He’s earned the title Mr. 4 for 4 for scoring four TD’s in one game. He is #4 and Wendy’s even allowed him to film a short video there to represent the 4 for 4 meal. Also, Grier has been voted Player of the Week by many organizations including Eastside, Covington News, GPB, and GAPreps to name a few. Off the field, he has a 3.0 GPA.

Jaden Cofer, Clarke Central, WR, JR

Cofer is a 5’8 175 LBS junior wide receiver at Clarke Central High School. He was 1st Team All-Region receiver, 2nd Team All-Region return specialist and 1st Team All-Area receiver. Cofer has exceptional hands, vertical, quickness and good speed. Off the field, he maintains a 3.16 GPA.

Cam Robinson, Saint Francis, S/DB, JR

Robinson is a 6’0 180 LBS junior three-year starting safety and defensive back at Saint Francis High School. He was awarded All-Region and All-State. In his career, Robinson has 62 solo-tackles, 98 total tackles, averages 6.1 tackles per game, two interceptions, one fumble recovery and one quarterback hurry.

Outside of football, he is a point guard on the basketball team and runs track. Robinson loves watching sports, working out, hanging with his brothers and reading. He maintains a 3.4 GPA.

Tate Morris, McIntosh, QB, SR

Morris is a 5’11 185 LBS senior dual-threat quarterback at McIntosh High School. He runs a 4.66 40. Through the first 6 games of the year, Morris has thrown for 1,860 yards and run for 669 yards, totaling 2,529 yards for the year. He has thrown for 14 touchdowns and rushed for three, while averaging 421 yards a game. Morris is currently ranked the number one quarterback in Georgia for passing yards, and total yards, and the number nine quarterback in the nation. 

Last year was his first year playing quarterback in a wing-t offense, he threw for 1,115 yards, 13 touchdowns and had four rushing touchdowns. Outside of football, Morris is a dual sport athlete, playing varsity baseball. He has been awarded 1st Team All-Region catcher, 1st Team All-County catcher, and McIntosh Player of the Year.

Jaiden Daniels, Commerce, RB/FS, SO

Daniels is a sophomore running back and free safety at Commerce High School. After six games this season, Daniels has 647 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns. As a freshman he rushed for over 1,400 yards, where he was the Athens Banner Herald's Freshman of the Year and The Jackson Herald Co-Offensive Player of the Year. He was selected by the GHSF Daily as a pre-season All-State Selection for the 2022 season. Daniels maintains a 3.4 GPA, and is interested in pursuing a career as an engineer or financial advisor. Outside of football, he also plays basketball and boxes in his free time.

Cam Curtis, Calhoun, WR/CB, SR

Curtis is 5’11 175 LBS senior wide receiver and cornerback at Calhoun High School. He had a huge game in the Yellow Jackets 50-48 3OT win at Cartersville on GPB including two interceptions on defense. The first leading to Calhoun’s first TD and his second came in the end zone in the 3rd quarter ending a potential Purple Hurricanes scoring drive. He also had a couple of big catches on offense. Coach Clay Stephenson says Curtis is their best cornerback and best blocking wide receiver who can also beat you deep. Receiving interest but still waiting on that first offer.

Malachi Jeffries, Cartersville, RB, SR

Jeffries is a 5’11 210 LBS senior running back at Cartersville High School. He had a monster game for the Purple Hurricanes in tough 50-48 3OT loss vs Calhoun on GPB.  Had 23 carries for 156 yards and 4 touchdowns including scoring runs of 47-and 21-yards.  Has rushed for nearly 1200 yards in his career with 25 TD, averaging nearly 7 yards per carry.  Malachi has offers from Anderson and Reinhardt and has received interest from FCS programs. Not yet committed, he is looking for more offers.

Antonio Scott, Telfair County, QB, JR

Scott is a 6’2 160 LBS junior quarterback for Telfair County High School. Through the first four games, he has 350 rushing yards and 300 passing yards. His accomplishments include: Recruit Ga Player of the Week and 1st Team All-Region. He only played two games during his 10th grade year due to minor arm injury. Outside of football, Scott enjoys working on his craft and finding ways to be be better. His hobbies include: lifting weights, working out, and watching film from old games to see where he can improve and working with other teammates to better the team. He maintains a 3.6 GPA.
