Make That Kid An Offer Nominees: Week of November 29
GPB Sports is looking for Georgia high school football players who are having a great season and career but who may need a little help getting noticed by recruiters. If you, or someone you know, doesn’t have an offer or may just be looking for a bigger offer, tell us your story. Here are our nominees this week.
Jacob Smith, Paulding County, T, SR
Smith is a 6’3 305 LBS Left Tackle at Paulding County High School. He is a four-year team captain and been a part of the team leadership for the last three years. Smith can play on both sides of the ball. He benches 360 and squats 510. Smith also enjoys playing baseball and participating in shot put.
Christian Harris, Collins Hill, CB, SR
Harris is a 5'11” 165 LBS Cornerback at Collins Hill High School. He has four Interceptions, three forced fumbles and a blocked FG this season. Christian has a 4.50 40-yard dash, vertical of 38.5”, bench presses 265 and squats 505. He was recognized as All-Region First Team Defense in 7A for 2020 and 2021, and First Team All-State 2020. Harris carries a 3.06 GPA.
Hunter Kirkley, Westfield, QB, JR
Kirkley is a 5’11” 170 LBS Quarterback at Westfield High School. This season he is currently 89 for 148 with 1667 yards and 21 touchdowns, with a QB rating of 119. Kirkley also has 702 rushing yards with 13 touchdowns. He recently broke the school’s single game passing yard record and the season record for individual touchdowns. Kirkley also runs a 4.6 40-yard dash. Aside from football, he plays baseball and basketball. Over the past two summers, he attended several camps including the Elite 11, as well as several prospect camps including Georgia Southern, UAB, and Valdosta State. Apart from sports, Kirkley always does his best to excel in the classroom maintaining a 4.0 GPA during his first two years of high school.
Caleb Middlebrooks, South Paulding, LB/ RB/ DL, SR
Middlebrooks is a 5’9 222 LBS Linebacker and Running back at South Paulding High School. He currently has 67 tackles - 37 solo, 30 assists, one sack and two TFLs. Middlebrooks made First Team defense for Paulding County. He is also on the track & field team and participates in shot put and discus. Middlebrooks maintains a 3.9 GPA.
Devin Pryer, Adairsville, S/ SB, SR
Pryer is a 6’0 153 LBS Safety and Slotback at Adairsville High School. He runs a 4.6 40. Pryer has 103 tackles, nine TFL, four sacks, one INT, four forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, one blocked field goal and two blocks’ PATs.
Preston Lang, McEachern, OL, SR
Lang is a 6'7", 330 LBS offensive lineman at McEachern High School. During his senior year season, he has played left tackle, left guard, right tackle as well as defensive tackle during field goal attempts. Lang is on the McEachern track and field team and is a 2021 state finalist for both shot put and discus. He played basketball during his freshman and sophomore years. Lang sings in the McEachern HS Male Chorus. He has a 3.4 GPA and plans to major in Psychology. Lang has been selected to play in the Blue-Grey All-American Bowl, the Offense Defense All-American Bowl, the GACA North-South Football Classic and the GA Elite Classic. Lang currently has 4 offers.
Joshua Kelly, Metter, RB, SR
Kelly is a 5’7 194 LBS Running back at Metter High School. This season, he has also played Nose Guard and Middle Back. Kelly currently has the most yards in the region, and has won player of the week and year. His mom says that he has loved football since he was two years old and always said that he was going to play in the NFL.
