Five-star quarterback Brock Vandagriff threw for 262 yards and two touchdowns to lead Prince Avenue Christian to a 41-21 win over Trinity Christian in the Class A Private championship game on Monday at Georgia State’s Centre Park Stadium.

Vandagriff, who has signed with the University of Georgia and will report on Jan. 10, completed 18 of 25 passes, with one interception. Vandagriff ran 12 times for 76 yards and one touchdown to help the Wolverines win their first state title.

Prince Avenue Christian (13-1) got 108 yards rushing from Landon Owens, who scored twice. Zach Dyer caught six passes for 88 yards, Jack Pittman caught five passes for 90 yards and one touchdown, and Logan Johnson caught three passes for 28 yards and one touchdown.

Davis Ridings led the Prince Avenue defense with eight solo tackles three assists and one sack.

Trinity Christian (12-3) was led by quarterback David Dallas. He completed 19 of 28 passes for 277 yards and one touchdown. Dallas threw one interception and was sacked five times.

Joshua Dallas caught 11 passes for 162 yards and one touchdown. Tyson Wall ran 20 times for 60 tough yards and David Dallas ran 20 times for 29 yards and two touchdowns.

Trinity’s top tackler was Christian Hanson, who had seven solo stops, three assists and one tackle for loss. Ryan Earl had five solo tackles, including a sack.
