Parkview, under former Panther player Eric Godfree, has four state championships, including three straight from 2000-02. Godfree played for the 1997 championship team, the school's first.

Parkview (10-1) is the champion from Region 7. The Panthers only loss came at No. 1 Lowndes 38-7 in the second week of the season.

Colquitt County (9-2) finished second in Region 1. The Packers were beaten by Valdosta 50-49 and Lowndes 28-17.
