Milton Hangs On To Beat Roswell
Milton’s Jack Rhodes intercepted a fourth-down pass to turn away a last-minute Roswell comeback and give the Eagles a 16-12 win in the 65th renewal of North Fulton’s oldest rivalry.
Roswell had driven to the 19 and faced fourth-and-8 when Rhodes picked off Ethan Roberts pass to secure the win.
The Milton defense came up clutch all night. They forced the Hornets to turn it over twice on downs and kept Roswell off the board for the first three quarters.
Milton scored on a 45-yard field goal from Jason Aussin and a pair of runs from Ahmad Junearick, from 29 and 1 yards.
Roswell scored on a 20-yard pass from Roberts to Jacob Jarrett and a 24-yard pass from Roberts to Marquis Willis. Roberts completed 18 of 34 passes for 218 yards, with tight end John Copenhaver catching seven passes for 90 yards.
