The success of Atlanta United means the Georgia High School Association football championships will be moving.

The soccer team will play Portland for the MISL championship on Saturday night at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. That means the GSHA championships will need to move.

The state football championships will now be played on Tuesday and Wednesday, Dec. 11-12.

The championship schedule will be: 

Tuesday, Dec. 11

  • 10 a.m. -- Class A Public
  • 1 p.m. - Class 3A
  • 4:30 p.m. -- Class 5A
  • 8 p.m. -- Class 6A

Wednesday, Dec. 12

  • 10 a.m. -- Class A Private
  • 1 p.m. - Class 2A
  • 4:30 p.m. -- Class 4A
  • 8 p.m. -- Class 7A

The matchups will be determined after this week’s Final Four contests.
