There will be 16 teams from all over the state competing for eight state championships on GPB starting Friday morning and finishing sometime around midnight Saturday. But even if you have no rooting interest in any of those 16 teams, just watching all the future big-time college and NFL talent should be compelling enough.

The all-star line-up of quarterbacks will be amazing. You have Greater Atlanta Christian’s Davis Mills who is committed to Stanford. Some have him rated as the number one senior QB in the nation. ESPN has him ranked the number four senior pocket passer. You have Trevor Lawrence of Cartersville. He is the number one ranked junior signal caller in the nation and reportedly has narrowed his college choices to Georgia or Clemson. You have the best quarterback that I have personally seen all season and that’s Grayson’s Chase Brice, the ESPN 4-star senior who is committed to Clemson.

But channeling my inner late-night TV commercial announcer…”Wait that’s not all…” Watch for Roswell’s dynamic dual-threat QB Malik Willis who is committed to Virginia Tech as an athlete, Cedar Grove’s six-foot-seven-inch Jelani Woods who is committed to Oklahoma State, Buford’s Mic Roof is committed to East Carolina, Fitzgerald junior James Graham has developed a passing game to go with his athleticism and already has 10 big-time offers and while K’Hari Lane of Single-A Macon County doesn’t have any big-time offers yet, he does have 52 touchdown passes this season and is just two away from tying Hutson Mason’s single season state record.

Here’s a pretty comprehensive recruiting guide to all eight games. Keep it handy while you watch.
