The GPB sports team is gearing up for a third straight Football Fridays in Georgia: Inside Edition show. For the past two weeks we have looked in on dozens of games giving you highlights, up to the nano-second score updates and plenty of interesting features and interviews as we go under those Friday night lights. This week, another big show is underway, which will include highlights from Georgia teams playing in Dublin, Ireland. We will have two big time coaches in the studio with us. Greater Atlanta Christian head coach Tim Hardy will drop by early in the show to talk about his teams outstanding 2 and 0 start. It is noteworthy on many accounts, but mostly because the Spartans lost their all world quarterback, Davis Mills, during game week of week one to a none football type injury. Surgery went well for Davis and we will get an update on his status that originally stated that he was done for the season, before the season even began. Coach Hardy has done an outstanding job at GAC posting a 48-9 record over the past six seasons. We will also have in the house, coach Ed Dudley who has coached at some of the top programs in the state, including Buford, Carrollton, Walton, and Ware County. Coach Dudley in 24 seasons as a head coach posted a 193-87 record, right at a 70 percent winning percentage. It will great to have both coaches in our studio and on our program. Also this week, former Atlanta Falcon Chuck Smith drops by to add his expertise to the show. Chuck will handle our recruiting coverage on Friday and also talk about his days as a Clarke Central Gladiator before heading to the University of Tennessee and then on to the Falcons. Jackie Brittain, will profile Pierce County quarterback Stetson Bennett IV and also take a look at the Westminster High School broadcasting team as they get ready to produce coverage of their game from Dublin, Ireland. Jon Nelson, will introduce us to the new head coach of the most storied program in the state, Alan Rodemaker of Valdosta and also in his Backroads and Backfields segment takes us to Savannah to talk with coach Rick Tomberlin of Calvary Day School. We also will be following those three area teams that will be playing in Dublin, Ireland this Friday, Westminster, Blessed Trinity and Marist. We may even have a bagpiper or two drop by. So tune in this Friday at 7:30 for Football Fridays in Georgia: Inside Edition. Next week, we hit the gridiron and go under those Friday night lights as the Roswell Hornets host the Colquitt County Packers in a rematch of last year’s Class 6A state championship game. Things are just warming up. It looks like it’s going to be one whale of a great season for high school football on the great GPB.
