GPB Sports is back in action this Friday night as the crew and I hit the trail for Woodstock, GA.  to broadcast the Walton Raiders at Etowah Eagles game.  Both these teams come into this one red hot.

Both teams are  undefeated with 3-0 records and both teams have a ton of talent.  Walton has an offense that is clicking on all cylinders amassing over 500 yards in total offense last time out. QB Addison Sharpe, running back  K.K. Brooks and tight end Sam Letton lead the way for the Raiders.  The Eagles also can light up a scoreboard behind QB Patrick Ferris and the Eagles outstanding tailback Tyray Devezin.

Coverage will kick off at 7pm with our All Access Pass pregame show.  This game is being played on September 11th, and Jackie Brittain will have the story of how Etowah High School is the only high school in the state of Georgia to have a 9-11 memorial on its campus.   Also Matt Stewart and Larry Smith will break down all the X’s and O’s in their Extra Point segment and Matt might run out of words in talking about all the college recruits that will be playing in this game for both teams, that next year will be playing in some big time college programs.  We will hear from Walton head coach Mo Dixon and I will talk with Etowah head coach Dave Svehla about the great start to the season his team is having.

Jon Nelson will drop by for another edition of Jon’s Georgia as he visits the Granite Bowl along with trips to Carnesville, GA. and Roberta, GA.  as he checks out the Franklin County Lions and the Eagles of Crawford County.  Jon also checks out  Fort Valley, GA. and the Peach County Trojans where it is a family affair on the coaching staff.

So Football Fridays in Georgia is back and back with a bang. We will be with you every single Friday night from now until the 7 state champions are crowned in the Georgia Dome in December.  Up first, it's this Friday night,  Walton at Etowah.   Let the games begin!!!   The road to the Georgia Dome is Here!!!
