The GHSA has adopted a reclassification plan, that adds playoff spots in the smallest division, and adds a new classification at the very top. The new top class in Georgia High School Sports will be called the Big 44 which will take in roughly the largest ten percent of the schools in the state. The Class AA through AAAAAA will have about sixty schools apeice and the Class A with the public and private schools will remain the same.

But the Big 44 is the Big Story and I recently talked to Norcross head football coach Keith Maloof about how this new classification will all shake out.
