The combination of Marietta QB Harrison Bailey and TE Arik Gilbert sparked the 5th-ranked Blue Devils to a 17-9 win over #1 ranked Lowndes in the Class 7A championship game. It was school’s first state title since 1967. Marietta led 17-0 at the half and held on the for win. Tennessee signee Harrison Bailey passed for 271 yards, with LSU/Georgia signee Gilbert catching 11 for 146 yards
