It was a tale of two halves as Lassiter jumped out to a 37-0 lead at intermission then held off a furious second half Hillgrove rally as the Trojans beat the Hawks 37-29 in the season opener. Eddie Prince threw for 248 yards and two TD’s for Lassiter, and Trey Thompson finished with nearly 280 yards passing and two scores for Hillgrove. Lassiter would finish the regular season 10-0.
