The major changes to this week’s polls mainly came in Class 4A and 2A. In Class 4A, Lovejoy moved up in the polls with yet another shutout as the Wildcats posted their fifth whitewashing of the year, a 9-0 victory over previously unbeaten Jonesboro. Heritage-Conyers dropped out of the polls after losing at home to Flowery Branch as defending champion Chattahoochee re-entered the rankings. Lambert moved up one spot. In Class 2A, Lovett fell from the polls after suffering an upset to Blessed Trinity. Jefferson also dropped from No. 4 to No. 10 as Appling County entered the polls for the first time this year. East Coweta is the only change in the 5A poll as Valdosta lost to Coffee. East Coweta faces Stephenson this Friday in the GPB TV game of the week.
