Today on Political Rewind, we dive deep into the proposed budget cuts that Gov. Brian Kemp has ordered all state agencies to make.

Some credit rating agencies are praising Kemp for acting before an economic slowdown could seriously damage state revenues. If that is the case, why are some legislative leaders questioning the need for cuts?

We take a look at whether or not services to the public will be impacted and, if so, which ones. What power do state lawmakers have to enact another proposed income tax cut after already reducing state income taxes last year?

Editor’s note: GPB is a state agency funded in part by the State of Georgia and submitted a 6% budget cut proposal as well.
