Former President Jimmy Carter has been released from Phoebe Sumter Medical Center in Americus, Georgia, following treatment for a urinary tract infection.

In a statement a spokesperson for the Carter Center said the former president, “looks forward to further rest and recovery at home in Plains, Georgia. He and Mrs. Carter wish everyone peace and joy this holiday season.”

Carter, age 95, is the oldest living former president. He’s had multiple hospital stays this year for fall-related injuries.
