Ringgold's Ryan Oyer, a singer-songwriter from Season 2 of Peach Jam, returns to Georgia Public Broadcasting to share news about his new album and his new love. 

 

In this special bonus episode of Peach Jam, singer-songwriter Ryan Oyer returns to the GPB studios to share stories behind his brand new album — a project steeped in Britpop nostalgia and heartfelt songwriting.

Hailing from Ringgold, Georgia, and often found in Chattanooga’s vibrant music scene, Oyer brings a unique blend of Beatles-inspired melodies and Oasis-esque swagger to his alternative sound.

Host Jeremy Powell and Ryan dive deep into his musical journey, from hosting a Britpop radio show in Chattanooga to recording full albums in his living room.

This latest album, described by Powell as “Beatles meets Stairmaster,” showcases Ryan’s evolution. It all began on an iPhone, and eventually expanded into a more sonically rich production, thanks in part to GPB's own audio engineer David Spence, who Ryan met on the set of Peach Jam.

This episode also includes Ryan performing tracks live and recounting the real love story behind the electrifying song “Out of This World,” written for his partner Sammi, a powerhouse vocalist and archeologist who stole his heart and joined him on stage.
