Guam is still recovering from Typhoon Mawar, but residents are taking it in stride

The U.S. territory is home to more than 170,000 residents in the western Pacific Ocean. Guam was walloped by a power typhoon in late May and the recovery is slow going as power and water are restored.

Hurdles to abortion will mount on remote U.S. territories without Roe

Without Roe, Guam could revert to an abortion ban dating to 1990. The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled the law unconstitutional in 1992, but it has never been repealed.
