American Lung Association recommends lung cancer screening for people at high risk

If you are a current or former smoker, a one-minute lung scan can save your life by diagnosing lung cancer early. Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer deaths, according to the latest report from the American Lung Association.

Waffle House is passing along the sky high cost of eggs to diners with a 50 cent surcharge

The Waffle House restaurant chain is putting a 50 cent per egg surcharge in place temporarily due to the biggest bird flu outbreak in a decade. The restaurant, typically a reliable spot for a cheap breakfast, said that the resulting egg shortage has led to a dramatic increase in its costs.

Father of Apalachee High School shooting victim backs Georgia push to track students

Georgia's state House speaker wants a statewide student database of disciplinary, mental health and law enforcement information to determine which students might commit violence at school. Republican Jon Burns also wants to mandate that each school system create a threat assessment team to evaluate tips about violence.
