Georgia state senators consider options to help parents with child care costs in 2025 Legislature

Getting someone to watch your kid is expensive, but it could be getting cheaper in Georgia. The state Senate’s Committee on Affordable Childcare heard its final testimony in a hearing at the state Capitol Monday and is expected to release its findings for next year’s session later this month.

Georgia Senate study committees to look at firearm safety, AI, correction facilities, more

The 2024 Georgia General Assembly Senate Study Committees are in session starting this week. Like bills, study committees are proposed during the legislative session but as resolutions the sponsor believes need further examining during the off-season.  This year's study committees will analyze several topics, including firearm safety, artificial intelligence, affordable child care, and more.

New ethics ruling allows campaign funds to pay for candidates' child care
