With Christmas over, what to do with this tree? Try 'treecycling'

As the Christmas season winds down, affiliates of the Keep Georgia Beautiful Foundation are providing ways to recycle your live Christmas tree. The statewide group has about 200 sites around the state set aside for what they call "treecycling."

Political Rewind: Our annual reading of Truman Capote's 'A Christmas Memory'

The holiday tradition continues with Political Rewind host Bill Nigut and his reading of Truman Capote's "A Christmas Memory." Capote's short story describes the Christmases he spent with an elderly, distant cousin when he was a young boy living in Monroeville, Alabama.

Capote was an American novelist who found his love for writing at 8 years old. He wrote several acclaimed short stories and novels that contributed to both nonfiction and fiction genres. Some of his most popular work includes Breakfast at Tiffany's, "Miriam" and In Cold Blood. He died in 1984.

The storied past of Atlanta's 'Most Exquisite Blues Dive': Northside Tavern

In Atlanta's West Midtown, among the gleaming new office and apartment buildings and retail shops, sits a cinderblock tavern emblazoned with beer logos. It stands out like a man wearing dirty overalls at a black tie dinner. This is Northside Tavern, a hub of Atlanta's blues scene that over the years has hosted the likes of the Breeze Kings, Lola Gulley, Sean Costello, Donny McCormick and Beverly "Guitar" Watkins, among countless others. A new documentary celebrates the modest bar's storied past. It's called Northside Tavern: The Mostly True Account of the Golden Age of Atlanta's Most Exquisite Blues Dive.
