Georgia's Jalen Carter gets 1-year probation, $1,000 fine

Georgia defensive tackle Jalen Carter has pleaded no contest to misdemeanor charges of reckless driving and racing related to a crash that killed Bulldogs offensive lineman Devin Willock and a recruiting staff member. Carter has been sentenced to 12 months' probation and a $1,000 fine.

Excessive speed listed as cause of fatal UGA wreck

Police say Georgia football player Devin Willock wasn't wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle in a weekend crash that killed him and a recruiting staff member. Athens-Clarke County police list excessive speed on a road with a 40 mph limit as a primary cause of the crash early Sunday.

UGA football player and staffer die in overnight car crash

A University of Georgia football player and a staffer for the football team were killed in an early-morning car crash in Athens on Sunday. Offensive lineman Devin Willock, age 20, died at the scene. Chandler LeCroy, age 24 and a staffer for the football program, died from her injuries at an area hospital.
