A storm system moving across Georgia Tuesday evening into early Wednesday could do damage overnight. Georgians should stay alert and be prepared.
The National Weather Service has issued Hazardous Weather Outlook is for north and central Georgia.
Today and tonight: A cold front will bring a line of thunderstorms to north and central Georgia after 7 PM today and through the overnight period.
Several of these storms could be severe, with the greatest likelihood in northwest Georgia.
Severe thunderstorms that occur will be capable of producing damaging wind gusts and a few brief tornadoes. Hail will also be possible.
Wednesday through Monday, isolated thunderstorms may linger across portions of south-central Georgia on Wednesday morning and early afternoon.
A chance for thunderstorms will return to north and central Georgia on Sunday and Monday.
