Georgia voters from both sides of the aisle flocked to debate watch parties to support their candidate on Tuesday evening.
Former President Donald Trump’s supporters gathered at Adventure Outdoors in Cobb County, a store that bills itself as the world’s largest gun store.
There, lively supporters filled the room, cheered for the former president and booed Vice President Kamala Harris.
Larry Charles is from Stone Mountain and attended the watch party.
“I think it’s very, very — a slam dunk for the president,” he said.
Down the road, enthusiastic Cobb County Democrats gathered for their own watch party at The Perfect Note, a music bar.
One of those supporters, Tim Gimbon, called Harris "the adult in the room" and said, “I think, barring anything outrageous happening ... she’s got this wrapped up.”
The vice presidential candidates, Republican J.D. Vance and Democrat Tim Walz, will face off in a debate Oct. 1.
