A 17-year-old boy has died of coronavirus, according to the latest data from the state health department. This is the youngest death reported in the state so far. 

The Fulton County teenager had an underlying condition, DPH spokesperson Nancy Nydam said.

As of 7 p.m. Sunday, May 24, there have been 42,902 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Georgia. Of those, 1,827 have died.
