If you suspect you have COVID-19 and are experiencing symptoms, you can now be screened virtually  through Augusta University's healthcare app.

The university's AU HealthExpress Care app is available 24/7 on iPhone and Android. Through the app, you'd first choose a medical provider and then set up a virtual appointment.

You can also get help by calling the AU Health hotline at 706-721-1852.

If you receive a positive screening, you will be scheduled for testing at the nearest drive-thru testing location and results will be provided within 72 hours.

As of Thursday, there are more than 21,500 cumulative COVID-19 cases reported in Georgia and about 19% of those have resulted in hospitalizations. At least 872 people, or 4% of those with confirmed cases, have died. More than 100,000 tests have been performed.
