Avery Gipson

Now we add some more songs to our essential Georgia playlist from Avery Gipson. We ask artists to pick two songs written or performed by another Georgian that best represent the state.

At 18 years old, Avery Gipson is already an award-winning singer-songwriter. Her first single, “Look What You’ve Done,” came out earlier this year.

Avery Gipson adds "Statesboro Blues" by The Allman Brothers Band and "Time Ain’t Nothing" by Eliot Bronson to our Georgia Playlist.

Avery is the winner of the songwriter shootout at Eddie’s Attic. She’s headlining there Tuesday, Aug. 6.

Her first pick is a song called "Statesboro Blues," which was originally written by Blind Willie McTell and later inspired a recording by the Allman Brothers Band.

Her second essential Georgia song is "Time Ain't Nothing" by Eliot Bronson.
