Dining For Women Creates Agents Of Change One Meal At A Time
Friday, March 8, is International Women's Day. To mark the occasion, "On Second Thought" host Virginia Prescott is moderating a panel of powerful women at GPB.
One of those women educates girls and midwives in rural Afghanistan, while another helps erode tolerance for domestic violence in Guatemala. Abigail Disney, a filmmaker, activist and philanthropolist, will also be there.
Disney founded the nonprofit Peace is Loud, which is partnering with GPB, the Association of Junior Leagues International and Dining for Women on the event. The discussion will be live streamed at GPB.org/Women beginning at 7:30 p.m. EST.
Ahead of the event, Dining for Women president Beth Ellen Holimon spoke with "On Second Thought" about how the organization is activating women as change agents, one meal at a time.
