Georgia natives (left) Childish Gambino and (right) Jimmy Carter each brought home Grammy awards on Sunday.

The state of Georgia was well represented during the 61st Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday.

Stone Mountain native Childish Gambino (a.k.a Donald Glover) earned Record of the Year and Song of the Year honors for his smash hit "This is America," the first time a rap song has won in those two categories in Grammy history.

Glover was one of several high-profile artists to decline performing at the awards. He was also not in attendance for the ceremony.

Former president Jimmy Carter, a native of Plains, Georgia, won his third Grammy in the Best Spoken Word Album category for his book "Faith--A Journey For All."

And the soundtrack for "Black Panther," which was largely filmed in Atlanta, earned a Grammy for Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media.

Atlanta natives Chloe x Halle and Janelle Monae performed during last night's show, although neither act took home a Grammy.
