"On Second Thought" host Virginia Prescott speaks with Silas House.

Silas House has written several books about a part of rural American often portrayed with stale stereotypes. He's also a reporter, columnist and host of the "On the Porch with Silas House" podcast.

House is among the authors who will be at the Savannah Book Festival Feb. 16 and he joined "On Second Thought" via Skype from his home in eastern Kentucky.
