The storm claimed the lives of at least 35 people from Florida to southwest Georgia, including an 11-year-old girl old girl who died after a tree fell on her home in Seminole County. Hundreds of thousands of people were left without power, and some were without running water weeks later.

Michael caused billions of dollars in damages to Georgia crops, which will affect Georgia's agriculture activities for seasons to come.
