Georgia Republicans will gather at the Augusta Convention Center for their State Convention this weekend.

Georgia Republicans are holding their state convention in Augusta this weekend, but Governor Deal and House Speaker David Ralston aren’t going to be there. Our panel of insiders look at why two of the state’s top GOP leaders will be no-shows.

The convention gives Georgia Republicans the chance to unify behind their presidential nominee Donald Trump. Will there be any dissent or will more endorsements for Trump come out of the convention?

AJC political reporter Greg Bluestein joins the show with a report from Augusta.

There are two big presidential primary elections coming up on Tuesday; California and New Jersey voters go to the polls. Even if Hillary Clinton loses California to Bernie Sanders, she is likely to wrap up the Democratic nomination next week. Our panel looks at the question of whether Sanders will drop out and throw his support to Clinton.

And our panel examines Hillary Clinton’s speech attacking Donald Trump on almost every aspect of his campaign for president; and of course, they’ll talk about Trump’s response, too.

Rusty Paul – Mayor of Sandy Springs
