Maternal Mental Health Training
Georgia has the second-highest rate of maternal mortality in the country. And the CDC reports mental health conditions were among the most frequent underlying causes. GPB is partnering with the Center for Rural Health and Health Disparities and the Georgia Rural Health Innovation Center at the Mercer University School of Medicine for an advanced Perinatal Mental Health training workshop.
This workshop is intended for anyone interested in perinatal mental health. Topics covered will include postpartum depression, perinatal trauma, perinatal OCD/complex anxiety, suicidal ideation, psychopharmacology, and more. Leave prepared to better support the mental health needs of pregnant and postpartum patients.
