Dianne Richardson is guest blogger for GPB Education and a 20-year veteran educator in the Walker County School District of north Georgia. She currently teaches 3rd grade reading and social studies at Gilbert Elementary in LaFayette, Georgia. Beginning in 2012 Dianne had the privilege to participate heavily in the inception and design of Gilbert’s STE(A)M programming. She counts herself lucky to have been instrumental in shaping student life at Gilbert, from her vision for an integrated STEAM curriculum to leading Walker County’s first elementary honor society based on the national BETA Club program. She currently resides in LaFayette with her husband, Todd, and their dog, Pandora Jayne.
