Christiana Umukoro joined Evansdale Elementary School in August of 2015 as the school’s first STEM Coordinator. She has 5 years of experience in the field of education, and has been working diligently to develop an integrated STEM curriculum throughout the school. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Child Development from Spelman College, and Master of Arts in Technology Integration from Teachers College, Columbia University. During a time in our nation’s history where innovations in education are sparking new dialogue about issues ranging from school quality to school choice, Christiana has chosen to direct her efforts toward avenues that will result in improved outcomes for students. She is passionate about STEM education and is encouraged by the work of exploring and experimenting with new ideas in the constant pursuit of academic excellence.
