The University of Florida checked all of Nasir Johnson’s boxes: great teammates, excellent education, NFL preparedness, close family and an invested community. It’s not easy finding a school that has it all, but Johnson is positive that he’s found his new home for the next four years.

The Dublin High School senior is the No. 27 defensive lineman in the country and No. 25 overall player in the state, according to the 247Sports Composite. Florida is getting a strong big man, who’s 6-foot-5, 300-pounds, but also extremely athletic with a 30-inch vertical. Johnson currently makes a huge impact on both sides of the ball for the Fighting Irish, but Gator fans will see him starting on the defensive line possibly as a true freshman.
