Mill Creek senior safety Caleb Downs is all Alabama. He already has the work ethic and discipline that it takes to make an immediate impact with the Crimson Tide, telling GPB’s Hannah Goodin that he adds in extra workouts every week.

The 5-star prospect is the No. 1 safety in the nation and No. 1 overall player in the state, according to the 247Sports Composite. He totaled 186 tackles, six tackles for loss, one sack, 33 pass breakups and 14 interceptions before his senior season.

Downs spent the summer going on visits to Alabama, Georgia, Notre Dame, and Ohio State. North Carolina was also high on his top schools list because his brother Josh currently plays there. His dad also played in the NFL.
