COMMUNITY QUARTERBACK AWARD

The Atlanta Falcons Community Quarterback program recognizes volunteers throughout the state of Georgia (ages 13 and over) who exemplify leadership and dedication to bettering their communities. Each month during the 2012 season, beginning in September, an Atlanta Falcons Community Quarterback of the Month winner will be selected. The four winners will each receive: two (2) tickets to the Dec. 30 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and a $1,000 grant to the organization served. In addition, an Atlanta Falcons Community Quarterback of the Year winner will be announced at the annual Atlanta Falcons Community Honors Dinner and will receive a $4,000 grant. Nominations forms are available through Nov. 15, 2012.

COACH OF THE WEEK PRESENTED BY RUSSELL ATHLETIC

The NFL and the Atlanta Falcons will recognize twelve high school varsity head football coaches around the state of Georgia for their hard work and dedication to making a difference in student-athletes lives on and off the field. Each winner will receive a plaque signed by Head Coach Mike Smith and a $1,000 grant from the NFL’s Youth Football Fund to help his school maintain and upgrade its football program.

CAPTAIN IN THE COMMUNITY PRESENTED BY RUSSELL ATHLETIC

The Atlanta Falcons will recognize outstanding varsity high school football student-athletes around the state of Georgia that demonstrate strong leadership skills both on and off the field. The program encourages student-athletes to continue to be leaders in their communities. Ten winners will be selected and their school will receive a $1,000 grant in the student-athlete’s name to support future community initiatives.

YOUTH TEAM/CHEER SQUAD OF THE WEEK

The Atlanta Falcons will recognize youth football teams and cheer squads around the state of Georgia for their outstanding commitment to youth football and cheerleading. Teams will receive a grant in the amount of $1,000 to support their organization.
