The newest generation of DE Streaming, Discovery Education Experience, is here. With a curated and personalized layout, educators can now leverage their preferences to create the most effective and time saving experience from Discovery Education ever! At the beginning of the 2019 - 2020 school year, educators will have access to a host of new features:

Revamped Layout

Responding to feedback from educators across the country, Discovery has simplified the user interface for educators making it incredibly easy to find the most relevant content and pin that content to your homepage. The new design uses tiles called "Channels" which are organized into categories of Discover, Teach, and Grow to simplify and structure the vast amount of content available on the Streaming Plus platform.

Users can quickly move between different areas and pages that previously required several clicks to access. Below that menu, the My DE feature has been redesigned to allow users to personalize the space while pinning the most relevant content and topics for a grab-and-go dashboard.

Increased Personalization

The newly available Teaching Channels will be based entirely on your customized preferences for grade level, content area, interests, and specific curriculum needs. In this way, your My DE dashboard will only display the most useful content, curated to the topics you teach. This function allows educators to utilize channels that make lesson planning and content delivery as easy as possible.

Streamlined Instructional Strategies

Everyone loved DE's Spotlight on Strategies (SOS), but many had trouble finding them. No longer! Instructional Strategies are now clearly accessible in the "Grow" tile of your main dashboard. Educators can even create MY DE Teaching Channels that highlight specific strategies that they'll use most often with their students.

Get Ready to Collaborate

Discovery Education's transformative creation and collaboration tool, Studio, is now available! In Studio teachers can build engaging lessons and assign them directly to students--all in one place. Want students to build demonstrations of their knowledge? They can do that too. And educators can assign different students different projects to differentiate the instruction, all while utilizing Discovery's growing archive of partner resources.
