The annual Judson Women’s Leadership Conference will take place at Georgia Tech’s McCamish Pavillion, Wednesday, June 24, 2015 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. The conference was created as a part of the JCI Foundation’s mission to help young women achieve greatness in their lives through positive mentorship, education, and sport.

Speakers will include highly successful women in business, authors, former athletes now in the business world. This full day conference has been designed to create a great learning environment to share and analyze the unique strengths, challenges, and opportunities facing women. Participants will discover powerful strategies to move their leadership forward as they interact with peers and deepen understandings of the practices of successful women.

The JCI Foundation was established in 2012 by Lauren Judson, 21, and Dean Judson, 23, to honor their parents, Beth and Jim, who perished in a tragic plane crash in 2010. After their parents’ deaths, Lauren and Dean worked with friends and advisors to find a way to continue their parents’ legacy of giving. They created the JCI Foundation in recognition of their father’s staunch support of his children’s participation in college athletics, seeing it as a means of developing personal leadership; and their mother’s commitment to women’s leadership issues.

With the help of hundreds of volunteers, Lauren and Dean hosted the JCI Foundation’s first philanthropic event in the summer of 2012: a golf fundraiser that paired female collegiate golfers with the Legends of women’s professional golf. The design point of the event was to provide the participating collegians access to successful professional women who could advise and mentor them as they move beyond college, and into their chosen careers. In 2013, a half-day Women’s Leadership Workshop was added to the event.

Now offered as a full day conference, the event is designed for women in college or in the first stages of their career. Expert roundtable discussion topics will include: overcoming adversity, advancing your career, resume 2015, how to get hired, relationship building, and many other topics…
