Northwest Georgia College and Career Academy host STEM Career Fair http://www.nwgcca.com/

This week, a team of GPB education and tech-oriented production folks are heading out to gather information from average Georgians. What is truly exciting (we all keep using that word, perhaps too much, but it is exactly what we feel) is that we’re talking to people who are working in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math careers about what they do, what they did to get the jobs they have, and what they look for when hiring folks for their companies.

On Friday, May 3 Northwest Georgia College and Career Academy is hosting a career fair with over 300 vendors in STEM careers in both private and public sectors. There will also be more than 80 colleges in attendance, waiting to meet prospective students. Organizers are expecting 8,000 students from Georgia and Tennessee schools to attend the fair.

We’ll be meeting with vendors from places like Shaw, Volkswagen, Turner Construction, and even an underwater welder. For students too far away who won’t have a chance to meet with these individuals, we’ll be there getting information for you. What questions do you have? Leave a comment below and we’ll check in and field those questions for you.
