Nicole Bailey-Covin is the Engagement Coordinator and Reporter for the Center for Collaborative Journalism (CCJ) at Mercer University. Nicole has a background in broadcast news, and photography. She covers stories about Macon, and works with CCJ’s Media Partners on Community Engagement Projects.
Ivey Hall, Executive Director of the Macon Area Habitat for Humanity said this unique partnership between the Bibb County Schools and Habitat continues to provide many opportunities during such a difficult time for many in the community.
At a time when our communities might feel divided, there is an opportunity to come together, talk and put positive plans into action.

Returning for the third year is the civic engagement initiative, On The Table. Past events involved community conversations centered around food and face-to-face discussions. However, this year the conversations will take place virtually and begin next week.
