A week before the August 11 runoff election, the two men hoping to become Macon-Bibb County’s mayor will meet in a live debate.

The “masks required” signs are going back up at Washington Memorial Library after they recently were taken down when Macon-Bibb County’s mayor vetoed the county commission’s mandate.

The Macon-Bibb County Planning and Zoning Commission approved plans for the old Pio Nono Avenue Kroger but rejected proposals for a new Sonny’s BBQ and new site for Agape Nursery.

Not only have cases skyrocketed, but there’s a demographic shift on who is affected by the deadly virus at Macon’s three hospitals.

Macon will move two Confederate monuments in order to make way for improvements downtown.
