Duluth and Macon were the places to be for high school basketball fans last weekend. The GHSA Basketball Championships took place in the Arena at Gwinnett Center and the Macon Coliseum, and there was plenty of suspense and surprises.
We have finally made it to the 2011 Basketball Finals and, on behalf of GPB, we want to send a special congratulations and good luck to today’s participants.
The Newton Rams defeated Jenkins-Savannah 46-38 in a second-round matchup Wednesday night. The game started out great for Jenkins as it grabbed a 5-0 lead at the outset behind an early three-point play by Anthony Lanier.
