NCNN is a statewide radio network that provides news, weather, sports and public affairs programming to 75 commercial stations across North Carolina. Ellen was twice named the President of the North Carolina Associated Press Broadcasters. Before that, she was a free-lance news editor for WTOP and was also the assignment manager at WTVR-TV in Richmond, Va. As a reporter at WRVA radio in Richmond, Ellen twice won the Douglas Southall Freeman Award for Public Service Through Radio Journalism from the Virginia Associated Press Broadcasters. Ellen is originally from Cleveland Heights, Ohio.
