GHSA 6A Final: Buford vs. Lee County Football Fridays in Georgia
In a slugfest worthy of two of Georgia’s premier programs, Buford kicked a 26-yard field goal in overtime and then forced a game ending fumble near the goal line to earn a hard-fought 34-31 win over Lee County in the Class 6A championship game. The victory gave Buford its 13th state championship and made the Wolves the first school to win a title in six different classifications.
