Administrators from two Georgia colleges are set to brief health care, business and education leaders on a partnership aimed at creating jobs in the health information technology field.

Officials from Gwinnett Technical College and Georgia Tech will discuss details of a health information technology partnership Monday at Gwinnett Technical College.

Gwinnett Tech spokesperson Dana Urrutia says the school will also officially launch its one-year health information technology certificate program.

Urrutia says the program offers tuition assistance for veterans, the underemployed and the unemployed to support workforce development.

Courses will begin March 4.
