From Rome to Savannah to Columbus and Augusta, Georgians have the events and victims of 9/11 on their mind.

As early as Saturday, September 8th, cities, counties and civic groups gathered at 9/11 memorial events across the state.

Saturday's 5k runs in the city of Winder and the Atlanta neighborhood of Candler Park allowed Georgians to use the weekend to spend time with their families and community in remembrance.

On Monday, Georgia Tech students filled a campus lawn with a 3,000-flag tribute.

Tuesday morning, ceremonies took place in Rome. And the city of Newnan and Coweta county partnered to hold one of their own.
